A classically trained chef with 10+ years of kitchen experience, Evan Romano began his culinary career at the French Culinary Institute and ALMA cooking school in Colorno, Italy. Romano moved to Charleston 5 years ago from New York City, where he honed his knowledge of Italian cuisine under chefs Mario Batali and Michael White, among others.
Romano's skill and passion for cooking began long before his professional career in the kitchen of his Italian grandparents, who's legacy he strives to honor with each dish he shares.
October 2017, gathered in a backyard on the West Side of Downtown Charleston a party full of people unknowingly enjoyed the first, unofficial Dough Boyz Pizza pop up. Evan and Jasmine took their love for sharing delicious food to the streets with their mobile pizzeria a few months later and continue to party in backyards (and farmers markets and wine shops) all over the Low Country.
